Franschhoek Valley. I lived in France for a while so taking a quick drive with friends and family to Franschhoek does the trick every time. It reminds me of my time spent in Europe, with its own South African twist. It’s easy to rent a house for a few days, making it possible for me to relax and spend quality time with the people I love. The restaurant scene in Franschhoek is also phenomenal and hours of lazy wine tasting in the sun is a must.

China. I am obsessed with Asian cuisine and I would love to do a week-long cooking course there to broaden my skills. The mix between a fast-paced city and a rich cultural heritage has always sparked my imagination.

The Mediterranean. Fresh, seasonal, and tasty food. Nothing over-complicated or fussy. I believe in top quality produce and Mediterranean cuisine has a way of showing that off like no other.

Bree Street. The list of new and exciting restaurants is increasing daily. My favourite spot for drinks with the girls is La Parada, and for a quick bite to eat I like to head over to Chef’s Warehouse.

Your favourite Western Cape secret spot is…
Cape Point Vineyards. It’s a quick drive out of the city towards Noordhoek; they have a small food market and live music on a Sunday, which is not to be missed!
